INSPIRATIONAL climber Daila Ojeda was featured recently on Limitless Pursuits in an interview in which she talked about her career to date including the feat of being the first female to ascent Fish Eye in 2010. Here she answers our ‘quick-fire’ questions and reveals more about her personality and traits.

What do you love most about your climbing career?

Travel and sharing the experience.

What has been the highlight in your career to date?

First 8c – ‘fish eye’.

If you could accomplish one thing in climbing or outside the sport in the next five years what would that be?

It would involve surfing.

What’s your favourite movie?

Educazione Siberiana.

And actor?

Clint Eastwood.

And musician/band?

Buena Vista Club Social.

What’s your biggest regret?

Not finishing university.

If you could have the opportunity to give another sport a go on a global level what would that sport be?

Surfing.

Where’s your favourite place to relax?

At home.

Do you have or would you get a tattoo?

I don’t have one. But I could get one…

What’s your best characteristic?

I’m mulish.

And your most unappealing habit?

What?! of course I don’t have any!

If you could order any three-course meal what would that meal be?

Rice, lentils and vegetables.

If you had to get stuck in an elevator with someone who would that person be?

My best friend.

What’s your most used curse word?

Fuck!

What are you most afraid of?

Darkness.

When are you happiest?

When I accomplish my latest project.

What drives you to keep pushing for success?

It makes me feel alive.

What makes you most angry about the world?

Any injustice.

Which sports person do you most aspire to?

I feel inspire by many people but I never aspire to be one of them.
