Where did you grow up and when did you start cycling?

Samuel enjoys all areas of the sport from watching it on TV to competing in races himself.

What is it about the sport that you’re so passionate about?

I’m extremely passionate about cycling, from riding my bike to following the professional race on TV and online I absolutely love the sport! Cycling has allowed me to keep fit and healthy from a young age, see some amazing places and meet great people along the way.

What is it you love so much about Mallorca and what makes it such an ideal place to explore on a bike?

I have been living in Mallorca for just over a year now, I fell in love with the island after a cycling holiday and within a month of returning home I had packed my bags and moved! It’s a truly magical island for someone who loves cycling it has everything you could wish for.

Tell us about the guided tours and other activities you offer on the island?

I run a cycling business (Mallorca Cyclist) offering guided tours around the island catered to your ability and accommodation packages at very reasonable prices at various hotels on the island, I also work closely with Wheelssport who have stores in Alcudia and Can Picafort they offer bike rental.

Today Samuel runs a cycling business on the Spanish island of Mallorca.

Where else in the world have you enjoyed cycling and what have been some of your most memorable bike rides?

My favourite ride is from my house in the village of Buger taking in the climb of Coll de Sa Batalla from Caimari up to the highest road on the island Puig Major into Soller and over Coll de Soller and back this is a 1,00km loop with 2,000m of climbing, tough but rewarding!

Unfortunately three weeks ago I crashed and broke my collarbone resulting in me spending five nights in the local hospital needing surgery. I’ve since returned home to the UK for the next few months then in early 2018 I plan to return to the island.
