Coasteering is a mix of scrambling, traversing, swimming and jumping your way around where the sea meets the land.

The instructors at Xtreme Coasteering are here to show anyone that wants to give it a go how to have safe fun jumping off cliffs in one of the most scenic areas of the country.

Xtreme Coasteering has been trading now for five years and our aim is to make coasteering accessible to everyone. Everyone’s ‘Xtreme’ is different, which is why we tailor make each of our sessions to suit the group and its ability. If you want to push your boundaries to get that biggest rush of adrenaline that you can, we can do that. But if you want to just have fun with your fiends and family, young or old, we can do that too.

Where in the country are you based and what are the variety of activities you’re able to offer?

Here at Xtreme Coasteering all we do is coasteer! This means that we can be the best of the best by concentrating all of our efforts into one activity and we know how to get the best out of the areas and routes that we use for our customers. This helps us to provide the best customer experience we can, leaving our customers with great stories and memories to last a lifetime.

Xtreme Coasteering

Xtreme Coasteering offers you the chance to enjoy an extreme sport on the UK’s most stunning coastline.

We are based in the sunny south west of the UK. We are mainly internet based, but can discuss over the phone any requests customers have for their group. We take bookings for North Devon, with our sessions taking place around Ilfracombe and Croyde, as well as in South Devon around Torbay. We can also provide sessions around Newquay on the North Cornwall coast.

What can people expect if they choose to go on a day out with you and who are some of the instructors you currently have working for you?

During a two and a half hour/three hour session you will get to experience the amazing south west coastline like you have never seen it before. You will get up close and personal with wildlife and push yourself, in a safe environment, which will leave you with a great sense of achievement.

Our customers experience is our top priority, and because of this it doesn’t matter what the number of the group is we will always take out a minimum of two professional fully trained instructors. Everyone is supplied with good quality winter wetsuits to keep them snug, along with a helmet and buoyancy aid. If you feel really cold we have gloves & boots as well.

The sport is know to be great fun but prepare to get very wet!

If you are jumping with us in North Devon your instructors will be Sue and Josh. Between them they have 14 years of experience and knowledge of the rugged coastline and they know every rock and gully of the routes in Croyde and Ilfracombe.

Our instructors in North Cornwall are Fay and Charlie. They have so many years experience together we have lost count. Their skills are top notch and they are always pushing the boundaries in finding ways of improving the coasteering experience for our customers.

How fit does someone have to be to participate and what ages do you cater for?

There is a big myth out there that everybody thinks they have to be really fit to coasteer, but you don’t! You don’t even have to be the greatest swimmer. As long as you can get a wetsuit on, bring your sense of adventure and are up for pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, even just a little bit, then Coasteering is for you.

Tell us more about your options for hen and stag parties? What would your words be to someone who has never been coasteering before but is interested in giving it a go?

Coasteering is a fantastic activity for all groups, especially stag and hens parties. It’s a great way to get people together that may not have met before, but they will leave closer from their experience of challenging themselves. Not forgetting the most amazing memories from jumping off cliffs in one of the most scenic places in the country.

Coasteering

Exhilarating jumps from cliffs are very much part of the coasteering experience.

Coasteering North Devon

As we tailor our sessions to who is attending it is best to get in touch to discuss your requirements. We will then put together a package which best suits with your plans.

For someone who has not experienced an extreme sport before like Coasteering, the sense of achievement that you get from throwing yourself, safely, off cliffs, or being washed up and down a gully is awesome. Plus, when you get to look back at the photos taken during your experience you will be reminded of how you pushed yourself to try something different, especially that pic of your best mate doing the best belly flop ever!
