Stef Jackson-Horner is a PE teacher who also competes in as an aquathlete at international level.

What do you see as your biggest achievement in the last few years?

 

Being selected for the Europeans two years in a row, both where I finished sixth (annoyingly haha).

 

What’s a triathlon ambition you’d still like to accomplish?

 

Achieve higher than sixth in the Euros.

 

What’s your favourite movie?

 

Any of the Oceans 11/12 or 13.

 

And Actor?

 

Rebel Wilson.

 

And musician?

 

Queen.

 

And author?

 

Miranda.

 

If you had time to put your energy into another sport what sport would that be?

 

I’ve done so many sports and love them all, surfing is my next favourite, I also love scuba diving and have my Padi, climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, SUP, the list could go on.

 

Where’s your favourite place to relax?

 

My garden (it’s the the middle of a Lancashire moor) with just my husband and animals.

 

What do you love most about the internet?

 

It has all the answers!!

 

Which athlete’s inspiring life story has had the biggest impact on you?

 

Paula Radcliffe.

What’s your best characteristic?

 

Persistence.

 

And worst habit?

 

Serious lack of patience.

 

If you could order any three-course meal what would it be?

 

Calamari followed by halloumi with lamb and mint burger bite skewers with salad and something toffee or salt caramel related for pud!

 

If you had to get stuck in an elevator with someone who would that person be?

 

My husband, boring answer I know but he would make it fun.

 

What’s your most used curse word?

 

None really.

 

What makes you happiest?

 

Being outdoors.

 

What one word would you use to describe your triathlon career so far?

 

Funny.
