Jessica Learmonth is a British triathlete who impresses with her results and dedication.

What do you see as your biggest achievement in the last few years?

 

I would say, European champs in June. It was a really fun course and I was delighted to win.

 

What’s your ultimate triathlon goal and how will you make it happen?

 

My goals keep changing, I literally take it year by year and try to improve and re-evaluate. Olympics is the obvious answer, but I’ve achieved more than I could have imagined already.

 

What’s your favourite movie?

 

Notting Hill.

And musician?

 

Celine Dion

 

And author?

 

J K Rowling.

 

If you could give another sport you’ve never tried a go what would that sport be?

 

Kitesurfing, even though I’d be terrible.

 

Where’s your favourite place to relax?

 

Bare cafe in Leeds, with a coffee.

 

Tell us about a really embarrassing moment?

 

I’m constantly embarrassing! I’ve ran full pelt into a glass patio door before. It was the shock of my life. Walking into lamp posts used to be a common incident too.

 

What do you love most about the internet?

 

You can find pretty much anything out.

 

Which athlete’s inspiring life story has had the biggest impact on you?

 

My friend Robyn, she had a really bad accident and the way she dealt with the whole situation was so inspiring and she continues to inspired me.

 

What’s your best characteristic?

 

Wisdom!… maybe not. Relaxed.

 

And worst habit?

 

Jon my partner would go wild with this question. Swearing probably!

If you could order any three-course meal what would it be?

 

Now you’re talking! Pizza cheese garlic bread to start. Yorkshire puddings, sausage, mash and gravy. Cheesecake to finish.

 

If you had to get stuck in an elevator with someone who would that person be?

 

Jon Wilkinson a gas engineer.

 

What’s your most used curse word?

 

Fucking hell!

 

What are you most afraid of?

 

Burglars.

 

What makes you happiest?

 

Happiest is having a nice sunny ride with a cafe stop in the dales with Jon. (With no half wheeling).

 

What do you see as your biggest achievement?

 

Biggest achievement is my progression in triathlon.
